Anorak Sam

Sam Bennett, an only child brought up by his mum in a small town on the outskirts of Sheffield in the north of England is unfortunately obese and makes him a loner. Dedicated to his work at the local council, Sam remains this way, however, now in his early thirties, a chance meeting in a recently opened supermarket leads to a relationship with Natalie Wood, a girl his own size.

Now enduring the usual taunts and snide remarks together, with loss of blood, sweat and tears, they begin to diet. As their relationship grows, familiarity and uncertainty with a lot of doubt rears its ugly head. As the saying goes, what a tangled web we weave when we are about to deceive.

Reviews

I really enjoyed reading it, was expecting a happy ending but got something better instead. Better read the other ones now.
