Tony Pearson has a passion for singing but is plagued with a medical problem. He convalesces with his Aunt and Uncle at their home in Blackpool. While visiting a local coffee bar he meets a girl called Jen in her final year at college. Tony finds a part time job working behind a bar at a local pub. The Landlord takes him under his wing and treats him like a son. Tony recommends a karaoke machine for the customers, this proves not to be the success he hoped. With a touch of mystery he disguises himself in order to save embarrasment and participates in the karaoke. From that moment onwards his life is never the same.
A heartwarming story with real life concerns, a very good read, enjoyable.

From the very first page I knew I was going to enjoy this book. You could really picture the characters, especially Jo, who was very witty, precise, and prominent to the story.
Giving it a ten out of ten, I would recommend it as a teenage onwards read and definite value for money.
