In less than a month from being married, Paul Carter, leaves his new wife Fay, and returns home to his parents. His future prospects look bleak, and luckily, having learned to play the guitar from an early age, coupled with a decent voice for singing, eventually good fortune smiles. He is asked to join a band, however, with the success, always makes himself available to entertain the disabled. At one charity event, Paul has a run-in with a local MP. This escalates out of proportion and he has to defend his integrity. All hell breaks loose, which reunites him with Fay, and with the aid of their families, including a local TV reporter, together they take on the establishment.
